James “Jim” Dennis Roseman, went out with his boots on, on Monday March 9th, peacefully surrounded by his family. Born on January 19th 1952 to Evelyn and Wayne Roseman, Jim spent the majority of his adult life living, working, and raising his family in Humboldt County, Ca. After graduating Arcata High School in 1970, Jim joined the United States Air Force where he became a fire fighter. After he left the service, he joined the Presidio Fire Department in San Francisco, Ca where he served for 10 years, making some life long friends along the way. Jim had a deep and unwavering love for the City of San Francisco, which was never more evident than in his devotion to their sports teams, the Giants and the 49ers . His passion for San Francisco sports lasted until his final days, getting score updates on spring training games from his kids (to whom he passed down the devotion). After moving back up to Eureka in the early 90s, Jim spent the next 25 + years driving truck for Bettendorf Trucking, Sierra Pacific Industries, and Humboldt Sanitation, while also helping his wife Linda run her restaurant, V&N Burger Bar in Arcata. In 2017, Jim and Linda closed up shop and retired to Woodland, Wa to be nearer family.
There was only ever one thing that Jim loved more than San Francisco sports or John Wayne Westerns, and that was his family. He loved them fiercely, and without restraint. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Linda, his children; Jeremy Mills (Shelia), Mattie Roseman Garner (Alex), Wyatt Roseman (Christina), and his beloved grandchildren; Daniel (17), Michael (13), Madison (12), and Quinten (6). He is also survived by his older brothers Jerry (Donna) and Noel (Cindy) Roseman. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Roseman, and Mother Evelyn Roseman.
Dad - We love you, We miss you, and keep a seat open for us, cause we’ll see you on the other side
