James “Jim” Currie was born in Vancouver, WA, in 1948, raised in Ridgefield, resided in Vancouver, and later moved to Woodland, WA where he passed away on October 15th, 2025. He served in the Army during the Vietnam war. Jim was proud to be a union worker and spent time as a plywood paneling inspector, bridge tender on the Interstate Bridge and later retired from Landscape Maintenance for ODOT. He is survived by his wife Leslie of 51 years, his daughter, 2 grandsons and 3 great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his son in 2003. Jim was a private person but was fiercely loyal to his friends and family and will be missed for his kindness and sense of humor. Donations can be made in his honor to the Kevin Currie Scholarship Fund at Clark College Foundation, in Vancouver, WA.
